I'm an experienced embedded software engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I have experience on many different projects for clients in a variety of sectors. I have a strong background working with C/C++ in either a baremetal application, with embedded Linux, or with an RTOS. I have experience writing software and drivers for a wide range of peripherals using all the standard communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, etc. I've worked on numerous IoT related projects using BLE, WiFi, and LoRa. I'm also very experienced debugging systems and utilizing typical electronic test equipment to do so (multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer). I've collaborated with hardware engineers in the planning, design, and troubleshooting of PCB's and hardware. I have past experience in the schematic and layout designs for embedded systems, which has only strengthened my knowledge and troubleshooting skills on the embedded software side. My experience in these realms gives me a holistic view of an entire electronics product, and it helps me to understand the importance of designing for functionality, maintainability, and usability. Throughout my career, I've had a commitment to learning and growing my skill sets. I've assisted in improving the software development and build processes, which helps me to improve my own code quality through better practices. New challenges and the problem solving process that always follows is what makes me enjoy engineering and design.
