High School Starleague was the first ever large-scale esports league for high school students across the world, reaching a peak of over 10,000 participants and awarding nearly $100,000 in scholarship prizes.As Co-Founder I worked to define and execute our long-term strategic goals. This included managing a staff of 20, and working with other business units to execute projects. I also developed and managed relationships with partners and sponsors, ensuring strategic alignment.

After seeing the potential for a League of Legends esports league for high schoolers, I joined HSL in 2013 to start up the League of Legends division. We started with approximately 150 participants in June 2013 and grew rapidly to over 6,000 participants in two years. As we grew I hired and managed a team of 5-7 customer service representatives located across North America, working to ensure that HSL provided the best possible tournament experience possible.

At Outerwall I supported the procurement group, improving ETL workflows and analytics processes, enabling the team to get actionable insights faster.Most of my work was on the Strategic Supplier Program, creating an ETL workflow that supported a larger volume of data and ran significantly faster than the previous process. I also created a tool to enable the team to analyze telecom spend. Previously, spend was not analyzed on a regular basis as the data came from multiple sources in multiple formats, requiring manual work to clean and normalize.
