An Industrial Placement was completed at Experian as part of the degree. A number of projects were delivered whilst working alongside different teams.- Project 1 - Defect fixes on a new data platform - Investigated defects to understand root cause, leading to fixing each defect and following the company change processes to promote each defect through the relevant environments to LIVE.- Project 2- Server Migration - Migrated relevant applications to new infrastructure in QAT, UAT and LIVE environments whilst creating test packs to verify stability of applications. - Project 3 - Rebuild of a multi-million pound revenue generating application - Involved with early proof of concept to confirm technology roadmap for the rebuild. Used the latest version of MS MVC 6, to build a small mock-up of the final system to determine the final technology choice and design. On main product development, built the application architectural foundations and the complex data layer using a combination of web services and entity framework technologies.
