I am an experienced ODP that has worked in all areas of theatre in anaesthetics, scrub and recovery. I currently work in a management position and as a theatre coordinator managing the efficiency and effectiveness of the theatre department. I have experience working as an ITU technician, teaching nursing staff in the maintenance and usage of ventilators, anaesthetic machines, invasive monitoring, haemofiltration devices and transferring of ventilated patients intra and inter hospital. I am an active member of a crash team and I work closely with education departments and universities setting up links and forming new partnerships. I have set up training programmes for new staff and helped in the recruitment and training of overseas nurses in theatre.
