About Alex Jackson

I am a Principal Radioactive Waste Consultant with 12 years’ industry experience in radioactive waste management. In addition to working in radioactive waste management consultancy, I have experience of site work in the UK nuclear industry and have previously worked for the regulator.I am currently working for Cyclife UK Ltd as a Principal Consultant, providing technical waste management and environmental support to a variety of decommissioning projects for our clients in the nuclear industry. I also provide waste management support to the Cyclife Metal Recycling Facility in Lillyhall, Cumbria.

I was the characterisation engineer for the land quality management team and conducted extensive sampling and analysis of soil, rock and groundwater around site.I provided technical support regarding Environmental Radiation Survey and Site Execution Manual (EURSSEM), NUREG-1575 (MARSSIM), NUREG-1575 Supp. 1 (MARSAME) and NUREG-1576 (MARLAP).
