I was responsible for marketing and advertising 1 to 2 events on a weekly basis about Normandale Community College Senate through newsletters, flyers, brochures, and presentations to various student groups on campus. I facilitated three events during the semester: "Fall Into Senate", "Normandale Student Involvement Fair", and "Get Out the Vote". Other responsibilities included ensuring publicity materials were properly produced on a weekly basis and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

My role as a student senator ensured representation of the student body and advocating for the student body. I was elected as an executive board member and chaired the marketing and diversity committee. My colleagues and I integrated effective advertising strategies to market student senate activities and events through developing social media tool kits, such as implementing a format for Facebook posts and Facebook events, thus creating a cohesive student senate brand and expanded time effectiveness for social media content. Furthermore, I assisted with 2 hours a week of tabling and handing out flyers on campus and in the community. I assisted with arrangement, facilitation, and collaboration of 1-2 outreach efforts with other student body presidents of various student clubs on a weekly basis. Additional responsibilities included attending general assembly senate meetings once a week and representing Normandale Community College at state and regional conferences.

My role and responsibilities included presiding over all meetings and delegation of tasks and follow through. I was the primary facilitator and collaborated with colleagues on promoting the annual Normandale Amateur Drag Show for 2 years in a row. Other role responsibilities involved community outreach about awareness about LGBTQ on campus and promoting cultural diversity at Normandale Community College.
