• Screen trauma patients within professional hospital settings, such as the ED, OR, and ICUs of UPMC Presbyterian • Determine eligibility and enroll qualifying patients in various clinical research studies relating to critical-care medicine • Sample collection and processing of patients' blood specimens • Assess patients' involvement in studies through the practice of informed consent • Cooperate with physicians, nurses, EMS, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate clinical research studies

• Quantify regulatory documentation & data entry to maintain clinical trials in the scleroderma database • Conduct methodical lab preparation and general printing & filing to assist clinical research coordinator.

• Assisting in the First-Year Programs in the education and facilitation of the University of Pittsburgh's required first-year course Academic Foundations to provide support and guidance to new students.
