Initially my role was established to design a Continuous Improvement programme across Te Rōpū Waeture (Regulatory) and Customer & Services. Once established, I moved into the Programme Lead role that I am currently in. In this role I am responsible for reporting to Senior and Executive leadership and for leading an agile squad of 5-7 people to transform operational teams through an Agile, Lean and Design Thinking approach. In the last 12 months we've been able to realise significant benefits and have led the cultural shift towards a Continuous Improvement mindset within the operational teams.

Using human centered design to evolve the Waka Kotahi revenue collection model and reduce debt so that staff can focus on keeping the land transport system safe, fair and sustainable, and so that customers can have an effortless payment experience.

My role as a Service Designer was to bring a human centered and design thinking approach to service delivery and strategy projects. During this time I lead the discovery phase and vision setting of the Driver Licence strategy, and prior to that lead the customer insights discovery phase for the Clean Car Standard.
