- Led the shift team with particular emphasis on improving commercial awareness of the team to enable them to recognize drivers that impact European/UK power prices and to take advantage of commercial opportunities.- Heavily involved in the implementation of a new European power trading and nomination system (Endur)acting as business point of contact for the developers. Responsible for system design specifications, producing UAT plans and running UAT sessions, organizing business approach to parallel run, training shift team and go-live signoff plus ongoing support.- Managed projects to sign Accord up to various European exchanges, capacity auctions and Transmission System Operator (TSO) nomination systems.- Mature knowledge in the business rules of key European markets including RTE, Tennet, Elia, RWE, REE, IFA and Nordpool.- Led European briefings and workshops and undertook visits to all TSO’s, representing Accord in the market.

- Through OTC trading and use of the UKPX, optimized the RWE power position at the within-day and day-ahead stage.- Used analysis of margin data and predicted cashout estimates to trade speculatively.- Produced Balancing Mechanism strategies for maximizing the value of the reserve and active portfolio

- Provided analysis on the UK power and gas markets to small trading team- Provided a full trading service including P&L estimation, deal entry and systems testing and development- Provided power consumption quotes for small CHP and renewable schemes.
