Developed and monitored Merchandising strategy for all Lifestyle products (Fine Jewelery, Books, Music, Stationery, Watches, Fashion Jewelery, Cosmetics/Fragrances and Toys) across all Reliance Retail formats - Fresh, Mart, Digital, Trends, and Time Out.

TechMeda developed, produced and test-marketed (in the Western US) a new class of dental diagnostic devices - "Transilluminators", an LED based hand-held device for the non-X-Ray detection of dental disease.

Took over as CEO of a troubled NASDAQ listed (and partially VC funded) Consumer Technology Company. Initiated an alliance with the leading maker of Voice-to-Text software (Dragon Systems - now Nuance) and introduced a bundled mobile transcription product which helped to turn around the Company and recorded the first-ever profit in 1999/2000.

Managed a +$700 Million Cosmetics, Fragrance and Skin-Care business, with +4,000 employees,in all markets outside the US to include over 20 wholly owned Subsidiaries, Manufacturing plants, Distributors and JVs in India, China, and South Korea

Managed a $800 Million Optics (Renu, Soflens) Fashion sunglass (Ray-Ban, Killer-Loop, Revo), Contact Lens and Home dental appliances (Interplak) business for all markets outside the U.S. This included managing three geographic regions (28 wholly owned subsidiaries), JVs (China, India, Argentina, South-Africa, South Korea) and Distributors (primarily Middle-East, Eastern Europe, Russia). Also managed 8 manufacturing locations employing +1,500 people in Ireland (2), Brazil, Italy, Spain, Korea, China, India and the UK.

Managed the largest region outside the US. More than trebled revenues from under $100 Million in 1987 to over $300 Million by 1994, and increased PBT ten-fold to over $50 Million. Launched and established the ReNu brand as the market leader in C/L solutions, and Ray-Ban sunglasses as the dominant fashion brand throughout the region including in new markets - China and India. Established a successful JV in India and converted Distributor operations to subsidiaries in Portugal, Turkey and South Africa.

Managed the entire B&L business for five wholly owned subsidiaries in France, Switzerland, Spain and Italy(2), manufacturing plants in Italy (Solutions) and Spain (RGP Lenses) as well as distributors in Portugal and Italy. Restructured the Italian business by merging and re-organizing the two separate entities.

Oversaw the Marketing activities for three Cosmetics/Skin-Care companies. Developed and executed a plan to launch the ALMAY hypo-allergenic brand of cosmetics and skin-care in Canada through the Max-factor Canada organization.

Turned around declining UK market shares for six Colour Cosmetics brands (Colorfast, Maxi, Max-Factor, Mary Quant, Outdoor Girl and Miners) through re-positioning and re-merchandising. Successfully introduced a companion fragrance for the LeJardin brand, and new fragrances in the Mary Quant range. Also managed licensed fragrance( Halston, and Missoni) and skin-care (Orlane) brands. Managed a Marketing team of 38 marketing and merchandising professionals.

Turned around a loss-making Company through the launch of several internally developed products, introducing the Playtex owned Jhirmack hair-care range, acquiring distribution agreements to leverage an underutilized sales force, and increasing plant utilization via contract manufacturing agreements. Managed four subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland and a Hair and Skin-Care manufacturing plant in Sweden. Negotiated and managed the sale of the Company to Molnlycke AB of Sweden

Managed all new product development and test-marketing for products in existing Hair-Care categories (Hair-Color, Hair-Sprays, Shampoos and Conditioners). Promoted to this position from Group Product Manager for the largest Hair-Care brand - Clairol Condition*
