I'm in the midst of a major change in career trajectory. I've had a dabble in corporate accounting, and as great an experience as it was, it became apparent that it wouldn't scratch my long-term itch for me. I've found myself craving something more personal, in which I can make a difference on a human level. These desires motivated me to follow my heart and resume my Law degree.Right now, I find myself with 2-3 years of study ahead of me, and boundless curiosity and ambition for the opportunities that await me. Ideally, I would love to get my foot in the door of Law. As I am still discovering my identity as an aspiring Lawyer, I am open to the diverse array of professional pathways, including volunteer opportunities, and would love to have some conversations. Alternatively, I would equally be thrilled to apply my certified Accounting skills, reinforced by professional qualifications and multiple years of practice in a Bookkeeping capacity. Now let me tell you a little bit about myself. As mentioned, I've recently finished my time with a mid-tier accounting practice. I worked in a hybrid role, where I practised as an auditor and a business advisor. This experience shaped me into a well-rounded professional, responsible for the day-to-day operations, periodic lodgements, and preparation of financial statements for certain clients, as well as the audit of other clients' financial statements from planning to completion.Additionally, I boast a diverse professional background that has provided me with a versatile skillset and range of experiences. I've spent a considerable amount of time in sales, physical labour, and sports coaching, and accordingly, demonstrate exceptional communication, work ethic, and interpersonal skills, that set me apart. In addition to recently re-commencing my Law degree, I have a bachelor's degree in Business, with an Accounting Major. With this degree, I graduated with distinction and achieved Dean's List commendations, and recognition as an inductee in the Golden Key International Honour Society. Along with this, I was chosen to represent the QUT Accountancy Students' Association as their Secretary between 2021-2022. As culture is essential to me, I'd like to mention a thing or two about myself. I'm a massive sports fan, both viewing and playing. In particular, I love tennis and AFL but enjoy getting around any social sport with mates. I love nature, and finding a nice hike with a rewarding lookout. I'm a huge fan of cinema, and love discussing movies. If I sound like a nice fit for your business, I'd love to have a chat!
