Fund reporting technological solutions: I was involved in the application of new technological tools (Tagetik, Axiom) for the automation of the production of compliance reports for investment funds.Tax compliance: preparation and review of investors’ tax returns in different countries: German tax reporting (Article 5 reporting), US tax reporting (PFIC and K-1), Italian tax reporting (“eligible bonds” ratio);Tax consulting: assessment of the impact of the 2018 German investment tax reform on current investment funds structures, with a view to developing alternative solutions; ad-hoc consulting on country-specific issues, among the most recent: analysis of the tax consequences of a cross-border merger of funds (Ireland-Luxembourg) on the funds’ investors, qualification of the return of fees from a Swiss investment firm to its German investors, assessment of the impact of the new Indian GAAR on Luxembourgish funds investing in India through Mauritius.

As a member of a team of selected students, I took part in a research project aimed at sorting the historical documents relating to the drafting of the OECD Model Tax Convention from 1955 to present day; the team created a comprehensive research platform showing, for each article of the Convention, all the historical documents related to it.The outcome of the research project that I carried out can be found at www.taxtreatieshistory.org
