Alex Levental joined Ironwood Capital in 2005. He is an member of the Ironwood Investment Committee and his primary responsibilities include driving the strategic direction of the firm, deal origination, structuring and execution, and portfolio management.Alex is a member of the Board of Directors for Elite Equipment Rental, John To Go, Caldera Manufacturing Group, Verdi Commerce, Pith Products, Industrial Timber, Mid-West Textiles, Page Publishing, ICM Controls and Consulting Solutions International (CSI), and a board observer at Paradigm Windows Solutions, Air Temp Mechanical Services, Blue Bell Mattress Company, Uniloy, Libra Industries, AnywhereCart, Southern Design, Alcom, DSI, Sheds Direct, Espire Dental, and Pinnacle Contracting Services. Alex was previously a member of the Board of Directors for Merrill Industries, SkyStream Markets, Pharmaceutic Litho & Label Company, Dancing Deer and Epoch Homes and a board observer for LiquidHub, Elite One Source Nutrisciences, Capewell Aerial Systems, DocuLynx, Katahdin Industries, BrandFX Body Company, Momentum Manufacturing Group, Peltram Plumbing, NFI Industries, Impero Waste Services, Ripley Tools, and Bush Industries. Prior to joining Ironwood, Alex was a Vice President of Market Development and Strategic Planning for CCA Global Partners, one of the largest privately held companies in the United States. He led business development efforts at existing and new business units of CCA by leveraging existing resources and developing new growth channels. Alex started his career with Morgan Stanley & Co. as a Financial Analyst and later joined Advent International, a leading Boston-based private equity investment firm with $4 billion under management and 16 offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia. As an Associate at Advent, he focused on buyouts and later-stage growth investments in the business service, consumer, and manufacturing sectors. He was a co-founder of Anything for Home, a proprietary database marketing consortium that uses detailed consumer data and multi-vendor transactional data to increase sales and profits of its partners in the home improvement and move industries.
