I work at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI), where I coordinate the Living Concussion Guidelines (https://concussionsontario.org/) which provides evidence-based recommendations for adult concussion healthcare providers and patients. I am also the lead methodologist of the Behavioural and Implementation Science Service within the Ottawa Methods Centre (at OHRI) which is designed to support and provide expertise to internal and external requestors seeking advice and/or evaluative activities that draw upon knowledge translation, implementation, and/or behavioural sciences. I have methodological expertise in evidence syntheses, clinical practice guidelines, evaluation of primary studies, and the development and application of theory. I have expertise in the psychology of behaviour change, communication/persuasion, branding, social marketing, and implementation science. I have over 30 peer-reviewed publications, and have written extensively on behaviour change in public health and healthcare settings. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship in the Behavioural Medicine Laboratory at the University of Victoria and my PhD in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen’s University (Health Promotion stream).

Some other work was also done investigating COVID-19 related behaviours and cognitions. This work included the development of theories to predict behaviour through observational and intervention studies, and the validation of instruments designed to measure predictors of behaviour. This work also involved funding applications, ethics proposals, mentoring less experienced lab members, collaboration with other researchers, conference presentations, and publication of peer-reviewed journal articles. -
