I am the lead methodologist for the Behavioural and Implementation Science Service within the Ottawa Methods Centre (at Ottawa Hospital Research Institute). I help lead this service line which is designed to support and provide expertise to internal and external requestors seeking advice and/or evaluative activities that draw upon knowledge translation, implementation, and/or behavioural sciences.

I coordinate work on the Living Concussion Guidelines for adult concussion/mild traumatic brain injury (https://concussionsontario.org/). Specifically, I run the living systematic review that develops the evidence base for the guidelines, hire and manage a team of students and research assistants, work with experts to modify or develop recommendations, promote dissemination and implementation of the guidelines in clinical practice, and collaborate on related projects and peer-reviewed publications.

Working with Dr. Ryan Rhodes, I have designed and conducted many research studies with the aim of promoting more physical activity and less sedentary behaviour. Some other work was also done investigating COVID-19 related behaviours and cognitions. This work included the development of theories to predict behaviour through observational and intervention studies, and the validation of instruments designed to measure predictors of behaviour. This work also involved funding applications, ethics proposals, mentoring less experienced lab members, collaboration with other researchers, conference presentations, and publication of peer-reviewed journal articles.
