Intern on the Smallwares-Kitchen Tools team in Procurement. Worked to ensure best products, best prices, and best buying experience for my team's categories. I updated prices of our products so that they were the best on the market. I worked to make sure that my team's categories had products for every type of customer. I helped decide what products to run promotions for and how much to discount them. I worked to develop several lines of private label products which included salad bar spoons, salad bar tongs, salad bar ladles, salad dressing bottles, liquid dispensers, and mixing containers. To do this, I worked to determine what sizes and colors were worth adding. I set prices and margins on the items, and I reached out to multiple suppliers to determine who could make these products best for us. I compiled the necessary information to put new items onto the WebstaurantStore website and our inventory database. I requested and tested samples of products from a potential new supplier. I worked with Excel and Microsoft Power BI every day and became very comfortable and effective using these programs.
