I have over 18 years of experience of working with the housing associations North Herts Homes and settle. Having worked in the following roles of Customer Service Officer, Supported Housing Administrator, Flexicare Housing Officer and recently as a Retirement Living Housing Officer. I have had many dealings with with various parties and professionals such as - residents various professionals, support workers, nurses, care workers and the Police. All of which helped to provide an efficient service whilst supporting and guiding the residents. I have also performed monthly rent checks, to maintain support to those who may find themselves unable to keep up with their rent payments, whilst liaising with the neighbourhood team, keeping them up to date with my meetings and the progress of the rent account payment agreements.I have supported residents who struggle with day to day living, who have mental health, alcohol or drug dependency issues. Recently I supported an alcoholic resident, who was in danger of becoming evicted, due to self neglect and the conditions of his flat. Worked with his support worker and care providers to ensure he got back onto his own two feet and adhered to the tenancy agreement. Have had experience of raising concerns with the safety of resident, raising safeguarding cases as well as raising anti-social behaviour cases for drug use and alcohol intoxication within the scheme. Have worked with various software platforms, such as Word, Excel, Windows Microsoft, QL, Cezanne, Outlook, One Drive and Share Point. Monthly scheme inspections where undertaken, with any findings being reported to customer services, estates or repairs. Also weekly fire tests undertaken, to ensure the building remained fire safety compliant. Attended monthly one to one meetings to keep on track with the companies guidelines and processes. Whilst also having the opportunity to have my say if I felt that any questions or issues should have been raised. Worked closely with the Police and support agencies, especially when signing up new residents, as need and risk assessments have been undertaken, when checking the suitability and needs of those who are new to the Retirement Living processes and environment. I would ensure that all new residents are made to feel welcome and treated with respect, empathy and equality. Providing necessary support to those who may come from hostel backgrounds of those who have previously been classed as homeless.
