Designing the first noteless electronic health record, we are fundamentally rethinking how technology supports medicine at the point of care and focuses practice back where it matters most: our patients.

Organizing usability and efficacy testing of mobile and web applications with medical students and practicing physicians. Collaborating with researchers at Samsung Medical Center in South Korea to test our application integrating with their electronic health record. Collecting real-time information regarding clinician’s use of the app for diagnosis and management of hyperkalemia and metabolic acidosis.

Serving as chairperson for the Committee on Health Information Technology (CHIT) for the AMA - Medical Student Section. Helps to review all proposed policies concerning health information technology and drafting key legislation regarding telemedicine post-COVID-19, COVID-19 vaccination tracking apps and passports, and managing medical misinformation.

Completing a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences working with Dr. Chunhua Weng in the Department of Biomedical Informatics. Conducted a number of exciting research projects primarily focused on clinical trial organization and participant recruitment. Participated in numerous publications in medical informatics journals and presentations at relevant conferences. Drafting master’s thesis concerning features of clinical trials which impact the success of recruiting trial participants, both on a national and single-center level, and key differences between these environments. During COVID-19 pandemic, helped to design and launch an online tool called COVID-19 Trial Finder that allowed users to identify nearby clinical trials targeting COVID-19 and screen their own eligibility by answering automatically generated medical questions.

Conducted virtual and in-personal informational sessions with medical students to teach about the application and explore ways for them to get involved in content generation. Helped to organize and coordinate drafting of more than 200 clinical algorithms currently published on the application or under development. Designed a plan for integration of mobile platform with clinical trials conducted at numerous pharmaceutical companies across the United States.
