- Helped establish the foundation for zinc oxide (ZnO) electronics research at the University of Alberta by developing protocols for ZnO device design and processing- Developed novel architectures and process flows for ZnO thin film transistors (TFTs) based on low temperature atomic layer deposition (ALD)- Designed, fabricated, and tested prototype ZnO TFTs in the Nanofab microfabrication facility- Troubleshooted and corrected weaknesses in the device materials and structure using electrical and material characterization techniques that resulted in performance improvements over 3 generations of prototype device designs- Modeled the electrical characteristics of experimental transistors in Python, which were afterwards utilized to design and fabricate ZnO-based integrated circuits and amplifiers- Awarded NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship D (CGS D) based on the criteria of academic excellence, research potential, and interpersonal skills

- Developed and evaluated roll to roll (R2R) gravure printing processes for manufacturing organic field effect transistors (OFETs)- Investigated and compared OFET performance using blade and spin coating processes on flexible substrates

- Collaborated with graduate students to design tunable terahertz metamaterial structures- Fabricated prototype devices in the Nanofab microfabrication facility- Tested prototype device efficacy with a terahertz spectroscopy setup
