Scientist, leader, strategist, cadet forces officer, governor and tinkerer.By day lead a team of scientists and engineers to explore new technologies to understand materials. A scientist myself, I am passionate about how we can apply physics, light, algorithms and sensors to make the invisible visible and the impossible possible. Outside of work I am passionate about the Sea Cadets, where I am an Royal Naval Reserve Officer and lead a team of volunteers to train and support young people to become be best version of themselves using the themes and ethos of the Royal Navy.Any time left not devoted to family or juggling other committee roles is devoted to tinkering, where I use 3D printing, laser cutting and other methods to bring ideas to life and sell some creations to fund the next big project.
