I am an MBA-level accountant currently in the Hartford area with ten plus years as an accounting professional. My career began as an auditor working on engagements in several industries including nonprofits, governmental, construction and private schools. After doing a service trip to Tanzania in 2014, I realized I wanted to use my skills and shift my focus to working for an organization with community impact.I currently work in a dynamic fast-paced environment for a nonprofit and have proven to be a valuable team member and adaptable to various situations. I am responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the Foundation's reporting systems and oversee, indirectly and directly, all activities of the general ledger. I prepare management reports, financial analysis, cash flow projections, management reports and budget monitoring control for planning purposes and to internal and external stakeholders. I have developed and provide oversight to the adherence of the accounting policies put in place. I have also taken on some human resources aspects in updating our personnel handbook, administering benefits and onboarding employees.In my free time I am a lover of the outdoors and an avid hiker, passionate about conservation and the environment, have taken up photography as a hobby and a music nerd.
