The Great OutdoorsEver since growing up in semi-rural Yorkshire, nature has called out louder than any of the other distracting background noises that surround us. It took awhile to realise that there were careers out there that could cater to these innate impulses but after travelling and subsequently being inspired enough to graduate from university with a bachelors degree with honours in animal science, new paths opened up.Volunteering with various NGOs overseas temporarily whet the appetite for adventure, exploration, and wildlife-spotting before securing a salary and buying a house became a necessity. Working on the technological side of conservation has been an eye-opening and rewarding occupation but - similarly to the birds our tracking devices are deployed upon - a desire to spread my wings has overcome me once again.
