I’ve worked for WTW for a few years on the Product, Pricing, Claims, and Underwriting team working on an in developement project using a variety of technology including Microsoft Orleans. I’ve worked on a small team with a “brown field in green” scenario working with existing legacy code that needed to be integrated and levered in a new environment and new paradigm. We’ve focused on speed, scalability and fault tolerance from the start for a system that could scale for the future of the business.

I’ve worked on the Claims platform and the Pricing Platform, improving the platform and processes. In that time the performance of the claims application has been improved by 30% and I have helped architect and develop on the pivotal pricing application during a business initiative working in Service Fabric and microservice architectures to build an application that could scale to meet the business' growing needs.

While at university I did a work placement for a year which is when I began working at Master of Malt. During my final year of university i worked for the company and continued to do so after finishing my degree. I began as a junior developer in a very small team working on internal systems and their external e-commerce platform. As my career has continued the team size has increased leading me into a more senior role taking upon minor and major management of projects and overseeing the training of newer junior developers in the system and processes that I have helped develop.

I worked as a Test Analyst for Thomas Cook's internal team doing testing for new builds and creating detailed reports on how to reproduce certain bugs for the development team. Primarily my position was to support for the users and the problems that occur and report them to their development team when it's a system error and inform them on how to resolve user errors.

At RDF I supported internal software programmers and external support clients. I used systems such as Active Directory, Exchange 2007 and Backup Exec frequently. I also used Symantec Ghost to image systems on a daily basis and can setup Windows Server 2003 and 2008 along with basic roles and domain registration. I have working knowledge of virtualisation systems using HyperV.

I worked for a few months for SussexHIS who are the outsourcing contractor for all the NHSs computer based needs. I worked in a team of 12 people and dealt with over 500 calls a day. The job consisted of fixing issues with medical based systems, call logging and call closure.
