This required knowledge of both the NIR instruments and the method used to generate reference results. Troubleshooting of the NIR instruments was also part of this role and required a great relationship with the laboratory staff.Development of other Python programs also comprised a large part of this role. A main focus for this was to make end user processes easier. This required great attention to detail and excellent communication skills to determine what the end user required when the software was complete. This part of the role required a very high level of accountability and agile thinking as when bugs were discovered they needed to be fixed rapidly without compromising quality to ensure that the end user did not suffer.
