My time spent at Applied Systems was centered around learning the ins and outs of software development. Because this internship was a full time position, I was able to gain an authentic experience to what happens in the day to day challenges of software design and engineering. My role as a UX team member was to help design and create new software interfaces for existing software applications. I was also given the opportunity to design a web application from start to finish. This included learning how to use graphic design software as well as coding and testing applications using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
