As the Head of Projects and Information Security Manager at Blevins Franks, I lead the delivery and governance of strategic and operational projects across the organization, ensuring alignment with the business objectives and compliance with regulatory requirements. I also oversee the information security and data protection (DPO) functions, implementing and maintaining the policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data and systems. I am a certified information security manager (CISM) and have led the implementation of NIST CSF security framework controls and third party information security resilience monitoring through the business.Since the implementation of GDPR in 2018 I have also been the designated data protection officer (DPO) for the organization, responsible for improving compliance and standards and then monitoring and reporting on data protection practices and incidents. I have over 15 years of experience in managing complex and diverse projects in the financial services industry, with multiple certifications in change management, program management, and project management.I am passionate about enhancing the security culture and awareness within the organization and beyond, and I constantly seek to learn and apply new technologies and best practices in the field.
