Current• Lead a team of three that provides communications support for one of six business units at Argonne, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratory that had a $1.1 billion budget in FY22.• Managed Argonne’s role in joint announcements and PR campaigns with dozens of organizations, including AT&T, Exxon Mobil, bp, FEMA, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Rockwell Automation, the New York Power Authority, and Commonwealth Edison Company. Campaigns have resulted in 2,000-plus mainstream media placements, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, BBC, CNN, Associated Press, Washington Post, CBS, Bloomberg, Reuters and Forbes, and 350-plus trade media placements.• Managed outreach and media relations efforts that have generated 200-plus qualified leads, with those leads directly leading to more than $18 million in research funding from government and industry sources.• Led Argonne’s communications/outreach efforts (government relations, media relations, social media, etc.) as a member of the Midwest Alliance for Clean Hydrogen (MachH2), which successfully bid to be one of DOE’s Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs. As one of seven Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs across the U.S., MachH2 will receive up to $1 billion in funding from DOE, of which Argonne will receive $33 million. • Co-lead Argonne’s “Impacts State by State” campaign, which highlights Argonne’s impact on every U.S. state and territory. The campaign has become an invaluable tool for engagement with Congress, which determines annual funding for DOE and the national lab system. The campaign has also been emulated by other DOE national labs.• Have led support (planning and promotions) for more than 120 Internal webinars/trainings aimed at building critical skills in Argonne researchers and promoting awareness of and engagement with key DOE and Argonne programs and funding opportunities. To date, webinars/trainings have reached more than 3,500 staff members.
