As a child, I liked disassembling and rebuilding my toys to figure out how they worked. With maturity, I learned that I could also do that using my mouse and keyboard.I have a BSc. in Software Engineering from the University of Alberta, and along my journey, I've worked in quantitative neuropsyschology, data science, cyber security, and engineering technology. I like to face new and challenging problems that require creative or innovative solutions. My education and employment experiences have varied across fields and disciplines including medical sciences, data analytics and insights, systems engineering and design, machine learning and AI, business process automation, risk management and incident response, electronic systems design, among others. These experiences have taught me how to be comfortable being uncomfortable, and the value in committing to life-long learning.I have broad knowledge of and working experience with a range of programming languages that vary in their purposes and paradigms. I am proficient with C# (including .NET), Java, C/C++, Python, R, PowerShell, and Javascript/Typescript, and have experience with SQL, Rust, various assembly languages, Verilog/VHDL, among others. I am an APEGA-designated engineer-in-training with experience in computer and electronics engineering. I am deeply committed to safety and quality.I strongly believe in the importance of patience, humility, honesty, and integrity in guiding my actions, decisions, and personal conduct. Abiding by these principles has been particularly helpful for teamwork and collaboration in each of my work and volunteer experiences.Outside of work, I like to watch hockey, make music, and fix coffee machines. I spend a lot of my free time writing Arduino routines. I am a maker and a tinkerer, and I am usually working on at least a couple little projects for fun!
