As the Operations Manager reporting to the Group CEO and Managing Director I led and worked with a team of 20 employees in apparels production. Together we were able to increase production by more than 80% and an increase in revenue by more than 40%. My first priority task was to bring harmony and general good feeling amongst the employees, followed by streamlining production. I emphasised on employees understanding the ripple effect of each team players effort, peer reviewing each others work to achieve common effort, improving each other skills and applauding and rewarding their efforts. This coupled with strict production guidelines that led to pre-production planning, forecasting, raw material inventory control, strict quality check (reducing raw material wastage by 70% and proper utilisation of machinery). I conceptualised a controlled delivery schedule, mechanisation and automation of some production tasks which were eventually adopting further increasing the production to more than double.
