I actively drive the development of the video recorder system's ingestion servers, which handle up to 10k recordings daily and can peak at 200k during major events. My role is characterized by rapid troubleshooting and a sharp focus on addressing critical bugs. I've significantly enhanced WebSockets security through origin whitelist checks and subscription/trial status validations using Socket.io middlewares. Also, I migrated our system from IP hash load balancing to consistent hash load balancing with NGINX, incorporating a fallback for added reliability. Given my determination, I completed more than 30% of the 6-month roadmap for the ingestion servers in just one month.

Throughout my tenure, I focused on developing unique and essential modules for the platform. Here are a few notable modules I built on my own:Identity and Access Management (IAM):Created an in-house IAM system to strengthen our platform's security infrastructure. It provided efficient management of user profiles and granular control over access permissions, enhancing both user safety and operational efficiency.Automated Pipeline for Document Processing and Indexing:Designed and developed an automated pipeline for PDF files stored in Amazon S3. The pipeline performed OCR on the PDFs and indexed them in ElasticSearch, enabling users to perform global content searches within the uploaded documents directly from the platform.Custom Reporting Portal:Given that the main database is non-relational, it is hard to extract insights from the data directly. I created a system that streams the data to S3, then indexes it with Glue. Users can create custom reports by sending Athena complex SQL queries across multiple tables and get back powerful insights.Integrations with Accountancy Software:I successfully integrated Xero and QuickBooks within our platform, establishing a robust API bridge for seamless data exchange. This enabled clients to directly manage invoices, handle expenses, and monitor financial performance from the platform.Automated Billing System:I designed and implemented a comprehensive automated billing system that not only calculated the monthly costs per organization seat, including add-ons and discounts, but also facilitated seamless communication. This system automatically emailed the detailed bills to our clients, ensuring transparency and promptness. Additionally, clients could access and review their billing history directly on the platform.Time-Off Request System:Created a system managing time-off requests, featuring notifications for swift request handling, thereby improving workflow efficiency.
