Wrote speeches, statements and public remarks for the Ambassador, and regularly drafted memoranda from the Ambassador to the President. Led Mission-wide strategic planning efforts, special projects, and high-priority policy and diplomatic initiatives for the Ambassador, resulting in concrete action that advanced U.S. interests. Organized and staff three high-profile, operationally complex, multi-day visits by the President to the annual UN General Assembly meeting.

Advised the President and National Security Advisor on North African and Israeli-Palestinian affairs, to include leading and coordinating the U.S. Government’s policy on and resourcing for Tunisia’s democratic transition, relations with Morocco and Algeria, and Palestinian state-building efforts.

As principal policy aide to the National Security Advisor, managed the daily operations of his executive office and briefed, advised and staffed him on the full range of U.S. national security affairs, including for foreign travel and engagements with top U.S. and foreign officials.

Developed creative, practical proposals on regional security and promoted them through high-level diplomacy to advance Israeli-Palestinian permanent status negotiations.
