My experience and education have awarded me master's degrees in environmental studies and public administration and over 12 years working extensively with wetlands, living shorelines, oyster restoration, recycling and commercial harvest, route and project logistics, and problem solving. More recently I have been working for over 6 years in a largely multi-disciplinary role on stream and wetland restoration and enhancement to mitigate unavoidable impacts associated with growth and development. The process awards me the opportunity to engage in a combination of field work, site design, construction oversight, and post-construction monitoring. The tools I employ for assessment (both for initial site assessment, baseline data collection, and post-construction monitoring) range from field tools such as augers, total stations, GPS rovers, and UAVs to office tools such as ArcGIS, AGOL, and the incorporation of many other available spatial data to assess sites. AutoCAD Civil 3D is the primary tool utilized to design stream alignments, stream corridors, stream structure implementation plans, bank and floodplain grading, impact assessments, planting plans, and erosion and sediment control plans. Also utilized MS Projects, NetSuite, and Apollo for Project Management Tasks. I am located in the Charleston area but have worked and am very familiar with the entire coast of the Carolinas and much of the piedmont and mountain regions of North and South Carolina.
