Led the acquisition of the Youanmi Gold Project (Rox share 70%). Oversaw Youanmi gold resource growth from 1.2Moz to 3.2Moz (an increase of 167%), recruited and built the Rox team, delivered a robust scoping study to set a base point for the potential restart of the Youanmi Gold Project. Led the successful demerger of Rox’s nickel and base metals assets into Cannon Resources Limited, which was successfully listed on the ASX in August 2021 and has since seen substantial growth in nickel resources.

The Natural Resources team at CBA covers clients in the energy, mining, associated service sectors and the commodity traders. Natural Resources clients range from the major, diversified oil and gas and mining houses to development plays and start ups.Was responsible for:- Managing all aspects of CBA’s WA Natural Resources Business including originating, structuring, and managing transactions for a broad range of clients in the resources sector. - Running a $2bn exposure (balance sheet and hedge products) portfolio.- Managing and developing a team of highly motivated and skilled finance executives.- Negotiation of key commercial terms and ongoing maintenance of debt and hedge facilities.- Liaising with other banking syndicate members (Global and Australian bank relationships).- Instructing external legal counsel and coordinating document flow for various facility and transaction documents.- Managing mandates and overseeing the work of bank appointed independent technical engineers.- Interacting with all levels of CBA hierarchy to coordinate credit committee submissions, deliver portfolio and client plans and return metrics.
