As part of Google's Digitization team I architect, implement, and maintain solutions that digitize the world's "offline" content at scale, bringing it online so Google can accomplish its stated mission of organizing the world's information and make it useful and accessible.𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴I build tools and automate processes in a dynamic operations environment using -• Python• Golang• Bash• HTML/CSS/Javascript• SQL𝗖𝗜/𝗖𝗗I strategize with my team and our stakeholders to determine optimal CI/CD strategies, and build software release pipelines using Google specific tooling and frameworks.𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻I apply orchestration methodologies to both a fleet of physical workstations in an operational environment, as well as in Google's production environment through orchestration tools such as -• Ansible• Puppet• Ruby• Docker and Kubernetes-esque technologies (in-house Google tools)𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻I support, troubleshoot, and maintain a fleet of Linux workstations and servers, both physical and cloud based. I accomplish this while observing methodologies and frameworks such as Agile and Scrum.

• Monitor IP video infrastructure for reliability and performance - Monitoring responsibilities involve the entire path beginning at the point of ingest through post encode/encrypt. This includes direct ingest, OTA, and satellite feeds. • Monitoring systems include Evertz VistaLink Pro, Sencore probes, Tektronix probes and Medius. • Video infrastructure includes Harmonic and Ericsson encoders, OTA antennae and respective controllers, and integrated receiver/decoders from various manufacturers.• Serve as 2nd tier escalation point for the NOC for all issues related to video outages.• Perform root cause analysis and chronic issue analysis of video services.• Work closely with other engineering and support teams to identify, create, and maintain a knowledge base outlining processes and responsibilities of the tier 1 NOC.• Identify and build automation tools using Bash and Python to reduce the day-to-day toil of maintaining and monitoring the video network.

• Monitor the network for stability and performance in order to maintain 24x7 operations and resolve service impacts in real-time.• Troubleshoot and process trouble tickets effectively and efficiently while at times interact with engineering, field technicians, and telecommunications carriers to facilitate resolving service issues in accordance with established processes and procedures.• Document problem descriptions and detailed problem diagnosis with accuracy and compliance with established practices. Review and where necessary update the tracking of problems in trouble-ticketing system.• Facilitate handoffs of ongoing issues from one shift to the next as needed.

• Respond to escalations from Customer Service to investigate and resolve specific subscriber issues.• Identify and track discovered software and hardware defects during the course of troubleshooting.• Assist the software development team in understanding operational issues observed among the subscriber base.• Develop tools to automate processes to deploy images and assist in monitoring and surveillance of devices.• Work on a rotating shift schedule to support a 24-hour, 7-day operation.

• Provide direct and remote support for Linux, OS X, Windows, ChromeOS and Android platforms in addition to network based applications.• Troubleshooting of Google’s corporate resources and applications.• Provide support for services such as video conferencing, remote access, and new internal products and office phones.• Analyze incoming requests and create self-service documentation for Google’s internal users and the global support team.

I....Provide help desk support through our ticket queue and phone calls, as well as "walk-ins".Diagnose and in many cases repair desktop and laptop computers.Provide on-site support and maintenance / repairs on computers and network infrastructure.Perform various tasks laid out by immediate superior and our network admin. Travel to our various locations when necessary to provide IT support.
