My primary responsibilities included supporting the Garland and US Range sales teams throughout North America as the product expert on the range and specialty products (holding cabinets, grills, heavy duty equipment) that were manufactured in Toronto. I also introduced the new Garland electric range line to the global market, and introduced induction cooking to the Garland line up.

My responsibilities were for all the Welbilt/Enodis sister brands that were sold by the Garland Canada sales team. This included being responsible for Frymaster (fryers), Merco Savory (holding), Ice-O-Matic (ice machines) and Wittco (cook and hold ovens). I supported the Canadian sales team as the in-house product expert.

As General Sales Manager, I managed a sales team of over 30 sales and branch managers for Atlantic Speedy Propane, a division of Irving Oil. We had 28 branches throughout Atlantic Canada, and I travelled extensively through the territory supporting and training the sales team. We chose to devote our energies to specific brands within each category we sold, as we sold all domestic and commercial appliances that used propane (no natural gas in the region at that time). As a result, we became the #1 retailer for CFM gas fireplaces, were Pitco fryer Dealer of the year for Canada, Blodgett oven dealer of the year for Canada, and grew our appliance business throughout that time.For the last year I was responsible for the Propane Division of Irving Oil as we amalgamated Speedy Propane into Irving Oil. My responsibilities were directly to the Ownership of Irving Oil (Arthur and Jack Irving) during this transition period.
