If you asked me: what are your favorite memories growing up? I would tell you it was spending entire summers kicking a (real) football ⚽️ and skateboarding in the streets of Buenos Aires with my cousins. Learning to play dominoes with my Cuban grandmother and her multiple Cohiba cigar wielding friends and family at gatherings in vintage Miami Beach. Having my first kiss in Montesilvano, Italia. Surfing and crashing hard at Los Tubos beach in Manati, Puerto Rico. Watching Return of the Jedi in the movie theatre with my mother who was just as excited as I was in 1983. Walking amidst the ancient and gigantic Arrayan trees up in the forests of the Andes mountains. Playing with my father's vintage film camera collection and watching him work late nights as he crafted illustrations and designs for print advertisements, using nothing but his bare hands, an X-acto knife and Eberhard Faber Design markers; decades before the computer ruled the world.I'm driven by all things creative and philosophical as it pertains to my own experiences in life: creating art, design, music, photography, cinematography, helping raise over $650 million for a children's hospital, being a cultural ambassador, translator and interpreter for sick children of immigrant families with no support or resources, writing prose and poetry, listening to a singing bird, the sound of a water fountain, my children's laughter, the feeling of love, the crackle of the burning wood in the parrilla, the depth of meaning contained in the Italian finger pinch gesture, when the fasten your seatbelt sign turns off after landing, the lightheadedness you feel at 13,000 feet when crossing the border of Argentina and Chile by foot as the hulking Aconcagua stands 25,000 feet in front of you, and all of the amazing and personal experiences from the past, present and future that bind together to provide me with the human storytelling experience.
