One of ~25 students out of ~200 applicants selected to lead tours for prospective Princeton students and families. Improves communication and public speaking.

Designed and programmed a full-stack web application which improves the integration of renewables for a university microgrid. This web app actively monitors and provides suggestions for the controls of renewables and energy storage systems in a metered power system. This includes: asynchronous scheduled collection of real time data using Celery; Django + Postgres backend and database; ML/DL forecasting of PV, load, and net load; SciPy optimization for battery control; and a Next.js frontend. Additional time spent on a team focusing on optimization of residential battery systems. I explored optimization models for battery sizing given price minimization objectives.

Two months as a software engineer designing the website for an electric vehicle charger. Using Django (Python) and Flutter (Dart), I developed the initial backend and frontend for a new EV charger product. Communication with coworkers was in Spanish. Improved full-stack development, project management, communication, language, and programming abilities while exposing me to a startup company in the field of sustainable energy and electrification.

Starting in maintenance and working my way up to instructor, I did a range of jobs including: cleaning courts, basic maintenance, instructing youth clinics, selling memberships, managing accounts, handling customers, etc.

Interned under Charles Newcomb, a mechanical engineer consulting in renewable energy and grid design (energy storage, photovoltaics, wind energy, sustainable grid design, etc.) Designed an Arduino based PV controller, a prototype of a smart EV charger (both software and hardware), and a solar cellular module, along with several other projects.

Using my personal circuitry experience, I developed and taught a circuitry course for 5th grade students from low income school districts. This included applying for grants to fund the project, organizing and purchasing the needed materials, designing and scheduling the courses, and instructing each class. Because of COVID, the program was done online. The course included ten one-and-a-half hour classes preceded by months of planning.
