I launched and oversee numerous projects within Heatherwick Studio’s campaign to rid the world of boring buildings and create joyful, human towns and cities. I developed the tone of voice and site, with Uncommon Creative Studio. I commissioned research from such institutions as the University of Cambridge. I am developing and testing two apps (one with generative AI) with internal and external coders and contractors. I have organised two symposiums, bringing academics, architects and developers. I commission, write and publish online content, social posts, and newsletters.The campaign has won major support from such high-profile media organisations as the BBC (see their Radio 4 series, Building Soul), the FT, and the Guardian; drawn an 13,000 online followers; and has established a network of partners across architecture, neuroscience, academia, and the public and private sector, in East Asia, Latin America, the USA and Europe.

As the Rooster Money’s permanent content manager, I established editorial standards across the organisation, honed fintech pocket-money firm’s tone of voice, and introduced several regular content streams.Working with SEO advisers, data analysts, and senior management, I identified market trends, developed successful campaigns, and oversaw localisation processes, all while meeting regulatory requirements.Thanks in part to my work, RoosterMoney grew its user base, was acquired by NatWest in October 2021, and underwent a significant expansion campaign

I developed and executed an effective content strategy for the world’s leading art, design and architecture publisher, Phaidon, and its-art site, Artspace.com. I managed freelancers, responded to commercial imperatives, and benchmarked our work against key competitors, producing profiles, news, and features; planned campaigns; and worked on social and audio-visual content.Our content tripled Phaidon’s online audience, increasing online sales to 15% of its turnover. At its peak, Phaidon.com drew 250,000 unique monthly users. The quality and reliability of our content enabled us to access such prominent interviewees Martin Parr, Alex Katz, Bjarke Ingels and Rashid Johnson.

Having served as deputy editor on Ryanair’s in-flight title, and bmi’s magazine, Voyager, (successes include Kate Winslet, Owen Wilson, and Russell Crowe covers), I went on to edit Bspirit magazine for the Belgian flag carrier, covering sub-Saharan Africa.Overseeing a diverse pool of polyglot freelancers, a budget, external translators, and an in-house editorial team, I put together a multilingual (French, Flemish, English) which met the commercial needs of the publisher, the airline’s brand obligations, while simultaneously engaging with a diverse readership.Pagination and advertising yields rose on all the titles I worked on; we met ambitious revenue targets and won contract renewals from multiple airlines and interview access to such figures as the actor Helen Mirren, the designer Tom Ford, and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first elected female head of state in Africa.

I oversaw Dazed & Confused’s editorial inclusions, consulted with marketing, fashion and ad departments, subbed copy, and managed staff and freelancers. Successes included our Missy Elliott, Bjork, and Eva Green covers, and our Friends of the Earth-endorsed issue.Newsstand sales, ad revenue and pagination grew under my tenure. The title also reached beyond its fashion focus, to provide coverage for bands such as Arcade Fire and Interpol, and actors such as Christian Bale and Michael Pitt.
