Employed on a contractual basis as a R&D Mechanical Engineer for Heata Co, a startup company that is developing a distributed compute network which instead of using conventional data centres, installs each compute node in residential homes and uses the energy to heat water cylinders for domestic users, in turn reducing the carbon footprint and energy bills for the consumer. Duties:- Developing and physically building the machines.- Installation and commissioning of the machines during the development trial.- BoM management and generation of purchase orders.- Root cause analysis and problem solving during testing.- Utilising data acquisition tools and software to monitor performance of each machine.- Developing and documenting the manufacturing process.

Worked as a Project Lead within the Durability department, defining and managing the Durability high-level component and vehicle testing plans for McLaren’s Ultimate Series vehicles.Duties:- Project risk assessment analysis in order to define critical components and risk reduction action plans via DFMEA’s (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and DVP’s (Design Verification Plan).- Supporting various departments with root cause analysis from issues seen during durability testing.- Definition and management of vehicle testing plan budget.- Management of high-level strategy of vehicle durability tests (timing, resources, facility requirements).- Managing and monitoring durability tests (rig tests, vehicle tests, simulations).- Supporting Test Engineers with data acquisition purchases and analysis of test data. - Reporting the durability status to Project leads, Vehicle Line Managers and other internal ad-hoc meetings.- Management of project related documents, including, high level plan, budget tracker and weekly reports. - Management of overall consumables related to each project.- Defining the durability targets and customer usage profiles.- Generation of purchase orders.

Managed all Design Verification Plans (DVP) for all Defined content on all projects within MSO. Provided additional support for Bespoke content with the ability to organise tests with external test houses/relevant facilities, when necessary. Supported Senior Project Engineers from various function groups to author Risk Assessment Tools (RAT), DFMEA’s and Technical Specification documents. Attend weekly meetings chaired by the Project Lead to provide status updates on DVP’s.Proficient user of SAP and have the ability to track Engineering Records (ER’s) through Engineering Timing Release Schedules (ETRS). Familiar with raising ER’s, BoM Structuring, VC Coding and raising Purchase Orders.Maximised productivity and increased efficiency by writing MSL’s that implement new processes within the Engineering Team and developing good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Created and manage the MSO Engineering SharePoint site and supported the migration to Microsoft 365.
