Experienced in the private and non-profit world, I am always looking for new opportunities to broaden my horizons and enhance my skills. As a San Diego State graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences , I am passionate about environmental equity, justice, and policy.Having served as a Fellow with the California Climate Action Corps at Casa Familiar, I am well versed in community engagement and what it can do to support frontline communities experiencing the worst effects of climate change. My efforts in reaching out to the community through a Community Needs Assessment and offering free trees to local residents proved to be instrumental in aiding their environmental justice efforts. As a Team Leader with the California Climate Action Corps, I have helped coordinate, track, and communicate support needs for other CCAC Fellows in their volunteer engagement efforts. I have also helped in making frequent posts to the program's social media page, as well as contributing to the monthly newsletter.Through my work, I hope that I become a part of something bigger than myself and contribute to my local communities in a meaningful way.
