The Liveable Neighbourhoods (LN) programme is Glasgow's approach to implementing the 20-Minute Neighbourhoods concept. Principally working on RIBA stage 0-2 activities:- Ensuring LN projects support council’s wider priorities and climate targets - Authored the overarching Communications and Engagement Plan for LN- Embedding international best practice and contributing to production of LN concept reports - Co-writing the Active Travel Strategy and Travel Behaviour Change Strategy- Facilitating consultation events and mapping stakeholders- Shaping innovative consultation methods for hybrid engagement - Co-developing online engagement hubs through ESRI StoryMaps- Preparing funding bids for Sustrans and other grant schemes - Assessing tender returns to approve external contractors for projects- Responding to enquiries from residents and politicians- Supporting the prioritisation process for delivery of the new Active Travel City Network - Additionally supporting internal colleagues and community groups with RIBA Stage 3-7 project delivery

Focused on active travel strategy in the South & Vale area of Oxfordshire:- Leading the generation of new Local Walking & Cycling Infrastructure Plans (LCWIP) for Didcot and Abingdon- Contributing to the strategy generation of the Science Vale Cycle Network (SVCN) Phase 2- Coordinating the development of measures to be delivered through the DfT’s Emergency Active Travel Fund (ATF)- Supporting the delivery of partnership projects with Sustrans- Engaging with residents, Councillors & MPs on walking & cycling infrastructure projects

Key responsibilities:-Monitoring the delivery of partnership projects within agreed timescales, with support from Infrastructure Coordinators. -Appraising and reviewing designs, engagement strategies and behaviour change work associated with infrastructure projects. -Provide advice and support to local authority partners on international active travel best practice, bicycle urbanism, community engagement, urban design and behaviour change. -Facilitating integrated, cross-sector working to help deliver projects.-Supporting project management scheduling and budgeting.-Assisting with the delivery of community engagement and active travel events.-Working with monitoring and evaluation colleagues to support the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the outcomes and outputs of projects.-Liaising with communications colleagues to support the communications outcomes and outputs of projects.-Promoting the Places for Everyone programme and encouraging new funding bids and new partners to apply to the programme.

Working on developing active travel & sustainable transport (primarily cycling) at Edinburgh Napier University and Edinburgh College - employed through the Cycling Scotland-Business Partnership active travel internship programme 2017-18. Primarily guided by the ‘Cycle-friendly Campus’ accreditation, I organise events, campaigns and initiatives in addition to working with key partners to encourage students and staff to actively travel to campus.

8-week placement role to undertake research for Green MSPs and my MSc Dissertation Project.

- Represent students at university senior management level by actively contributing to decision-making at board meetings and committees. - Manage a team of 12 officers in a geographical spread across Scotland. - Develop and implement a strategic, operational and communication plan along with managing the students’ association budget. - Organise events requiring liaison with internal and external organisations. - Engage with students and negotiate agreements with the university to enhance student experience. - Active involvement in managing students’ association environmental projects and promoting the principles of sustainability within the university.

- Surveyed locations across Aberdeenshire to develop an online interactive map. - Combined use of Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.), field survey techniques, data collection & interpretation, budget planning, photography and Microsoft software. - Time was shared between field and office work; individually and as part of a team.
