Worked with clients starting with the programming phase, all the way through to construction documentation and administration. Gained valuable experience working to get all of our firm’s projects permitted with the City of Chicago: communicating with our assigned city project manager, building, and zoning departments. Assisted in the firm’s role as a licensed general contracting company, which includes managing subcontractors, site deliveries, and scheduling & inspecting work. Assisted with interior design for a number of residential & commercial projects, interfacing with brand representatives and helping clients select various finishes and fixtures.

Managed small and medium-scale projects, forming relationships and coordinating design decisions with consultants, engineers, and contractors. Worked in both AutoCAD and Revit across retail, residential, and mixed-use projects. Designed across all design phases, from conceptual design through construction documentation. Have successfully taken on many roles, gaining experience in project marketing, firm branding, financials, and the orientation of new employees.

Worked primarily in the design development phase of several renovation projects. Drafted design drawings, and made subsequent adjustments based on client feedback. Helped to create a collection of construction detail template drawings.

Assisted with production of construction drawings, such as architectural and electrical plans, heating and venting schedules, and interior elevations. Accompanied firm partners to construction site visits, learning to oversee the building process and discuss progress with the client.

Created presentational renderings of current design projects for the University of Florida, tasked with conveying the variable perceptions of designed art installations, evolving through such factors as viewer’s position relative to the piece, or the sun’s movement.
