At this dynamic young renewable energy solutions company I led the software development delivering across a wide and changing range of products with a versatile and capable team. Adding value to each delivery with constant innovation in both what the team created and how the developments are run. Ever increasing cycle times and increasing delivery values was one of my achieved goals. Others included building ownership and maturity in the team.

Working with a broad portfolio of responsibilities I led the direction of Swinton Technology's product development efforts, line managed the squad and empowered them to continuously improve the products. I also championed these products and technologies internally and externally across the world. Working on improving the Oil and Gas industry with one strong focus on emissions reduction to net zero goals.

In the dynamic young disruptive company I have responsibility for technical innovations, product development and future offerings and share responsibility for customer success with drones and delivering the business targets, weekly, quarterly and annually.

I joined this dynamic small company with lots of interesting challenges to face and have a number of exciting development projects under my belt. In a new role within the company I acted as the focus of development activities both internal and external. I had responsibility for developing in the management team of this young company a more mature approach to tackling development work and the challenges this can present. In addition I was a member of the senior management team with responsibility for the day to day operation of the businesses.

In a part-time role I was a director of this start-up company devising new formats for domestic and commercial appliances. Primarily I worked to create a full media playing and interactive refrigerator for a number of applications and led internal and external team's efforts to bring this to market via crowd sourcing and business to business sales.

I worked managing multiple projects for this Automotive Software Tools subsidiary of Bosch. I led UK and outsourced product development teams using Agile methods, Scrum and Kanban, to effectively deliver multiple product releases to specific customers and the general market. All the products met AUTOSAR and functional safety requirements by design and were QM, ASPICE or ASIL-D compliant. Working within a hard matrix management structure, with strict adherence to company product engineering processes, I controlled team member’s outputs to pass quality gates and development milestones first time. I used at times both scrum-master and product owner roles to define priorities and deliver maximum business value in the multiple developments. Monitoring and controlling project aspects with MS Project, TFS and JIRA, I migrated team’s workflows to continuously improve practices.

In my role as Engineering Manager at DSE, I worked to lead a team of highly skilled specialist engineers. I led the team to deliver efficiently and effectively the quality new product developments the business requires.

Managing Technical services within the group, intellectual property, product development, testing services and technical sales support.

Initially leading an environmental testing facility I increasingly supported the sales team and facilitated the entry into new markets and expanding the business with product innovation.

As lead scientist in a small team developing a novel instrumentation device I worked to establish the design, testing procedure and assessment criteria of the product. I reported for internal and external KPI and project milestones assessment and lead the scientific and practical investigations in relation to the new product development.
