- Oversee and manage all domestic and international taxation aspects of the Dr. Max Romania (no.1 pharmaceutical wholesaler in Romania and second largest pharmacy chain in Romania with over 950 pharmacies) and Magnapharm Marketing and Sales Group (11 companies covering 17 countries from CEE and Baltics). Identify, analyze, and propose tax optimization solutions and monitor their proper implementation- Provide tax support in relation to group financing, investments, M&A and structuring aspects, as well as other strategic issues (acquisitions, transfer of business, etc.). Directly involved in group restructuring and optimization projects – successfully coordinated several multi-company local mergers (RO) and 3 cross-border mergers (RO-NL, NL-CY), transfer of intangibles/assets and shares- Cooperate with other departments (accounting, commercial, legal, HR, IT) with a focus on identification of tax risks and evaluation of the fiscal impact of business decisions and projects. Monitor and review the activity of main operational departments and provide recommendations so that they do not create unnecessary tax costs. - Define the transfer pricing policies of the Group ensuring also accurate implementation, reviewing the inter-company price determination policies and calculations. Responsible for maintaining TP documentation, reporting (CbC, DAC6, etc.) and schedules related to inter-company cost charges.- Liaising with Romanian tax authorities (ANAF, DGAF, local tax authorities, Environmental Fund – AFM), directly managing all tax audits and litigation, coordinating local finance teams and tax advisers and issuing clear guidelines on the overall tax litigation management strategy, in order to promote the company’s best interest in line with Dr.Max’s strategy.

- Specialised in Romanian and international corporate and indirect taxation, providing tax advice for various multinational corporations or large local companies in relation to transactions, products (including financial derivatives), structuring of investments, financing, reorganisations, M&A. Review of sales and purchase documentation and various investment products prospectus from a tax perspective.- In charge with supervision and development of a team of tax assistants, assure knowledge sharing within the team, people recruitment and retention. - Key transactions include M&A tax advice with regard to high profile real estate investments in Romania, on-going advice to large multinationals, complex tax advisory projects for major multinationals, insurance companies, global investment banks trading in Romanian securities, tax reviews, etc.

- Tax advisory on international and domestic tax implications with specialization on Financial Services (banks, insurance companies, leasing, etc.). Analysis from a tax efficiency perspective of international structures and cross-border transactions, restructuring projects and international tax planning exercises.- Advice on tax implications (for residents and non-residents) of various banking products, available in Romania and abroad, including financial derivatives (e.g. bonds, forwards, swaps).- Due diligence and tax audit projects especially for banks, leasing and insurance companies, but also for companies from retail and real estate industries.
