In my time at Reach I was heavily involved in developing and maintaining marketing websites for over 100 clients. With websites written in both Wordpress as well as various combinations of headless CMS solutions with NextJS frontends, I have worked with a lot of technologies.Working in a fast paced environment I took our designers documents and our account managers feedback to deliver sites for our clients on short deadlines. I gained a lot of experiencing in handling multiple workloads and switching between different tech stacks, really solidifying my skills as a developer.

During my time at Skylift I worked extensively on SkyFleet, a fantastic ground control system to remotely pilot drones. This included working directly with on board computers, communicating with flight controllers, all the way up to a web based system. I worked on both sending commands and receiving telemetry. I built out live graphing of the essential telemetry as well as adding various controls to the interface and routing these through to the vehicles.I worked alongside a team to ship features and turn an MVP into a product ready to be marketed directly to clients. This involved constantly evolving requirements, liaising with our test pilots and stakeholders and approaching requirements in new ways, with an open mind.Alongside my work on SkyFleet, I also spent a lot of time building a new single page application using React and NestJS. This was intended to supplement SkyFleet and allow ground crews to easily track the maintenance and readiness of all of their essentials, from batteries to full aircraft. I had a lot of independence on this project and took on most responsibilities, from interpreting stakeholder requirements to taking and actioning feedback from testers.As well as this I got a lot of exposure to other aspects of working with drones, from building to operational procedures, and even some flying!
