About Alex Peterson

Precision, efficiency, values, and hard work. These are the things I live in my everyday life and ultimately why I am an aspiring Data Scientist. My goal is to quantify the world. Data is a tool that can help solve even the most difficult problems and my education has been geared towards understanding data. While working with the Columbia Environmental Research Center, I worked to quantify the biological, physical, and variable conditions of the endangered pallid sturgeon. Using this model, the population of pallid sturgeon was able to be predicted. This allowed us to be able to tell what, and how large the effect of stocking, and other efforts would effect the population growth. My hope is to be able to solve problems using data.
