From February 2018 to Present, acting as the lead engineer for therehabilitation of a Department of Defense (DoD) Computer Network Defense (CND) laboratory. Activities included functional requirements gathering, fiscal budget identification (~$1.5M), analysis, deconfliction, and prioritization. Architecture design included Power, Space, and Cooling constraints, hardware and software component pricing, obtaining of quotes, and submission to the DoD procurement process. Developed detailed documentation of function requirements and architecture design diagrams to include as body of evidence material for later accreditation upon installation. Other activities included active oversight and participation of the decommissioning of existing/legacy laboratory environment which consisted of various computer equipment components, accessories, and peripherals. Many of the computer components were classified in nature which required special handling to ensure proper disposal and materials accounting. During the decommission process, performed multiple site surveys to identify a suitable location for a new physical location of the laboratory. During the two-year project, was responsible for resume review as well as the interviewing and final hiring approval of three (3) laboratory System Administrators onto the supporting contract. From January 2016 to February 2018 served as deployment/implementation engineer for CND tools team supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) Incident Response Team. Acted as liaison between remote global site and headquarters site gathering requirements for solution development and deployment. Performed site surveys at various remote sites and follow on deployment of solution set.From April 2014 to January 2016 provided CND analytic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Incident Response Team. Acted as Subject Matter Expert for Network Intrusion Detection analytics team. Provided input for signature development and sensor deployment.

From August 2012 to December 2013 responsible as Team Lead for Network Security Engineering Team for Department of Defense (DoD) component. Perform architecture and engineering duties for Computer Network Defense(CND) projects specifically related to network-based threat vectors. Develop security solution architectures utilizing COTS products, government and industry best security practices. Perform test and integration services, develop solution documentation, deploy solution suites and provide Tier 3 support services. Responsible for installation and configuration of test lab equipment for the purposes of conducting end to end functional testing and Tier 3 support.

As part of the security team for Productization services organization was responsible for accepting compliant architectural packages for various enterprise security solutions, developing test procedures for DT&E 1, DT&E 2 and OT&E, developing test procedures for regression testing, generating test reports, developing implementation and configuration management plans. Responsible for installation and configuration of test lab equipment for simulation of enterprise network for the purposes of conducting end to end functional testing of security solutions and Tier 3 support. Experience includes analyzing requirements for WAN and Enclave Boundary systems, Multi-Domain Systems and Enterprise Security Monitoring (ESM) solutions (i.e. Auditing, Network Mapping, Host Intrusion Prevention System, and Network Intrusion Prevention System) for DoD/IC based networks. As Director of Operations/Security Engineering, managed the day-to-day operations of Cynergy. Directly responsible for recruiting and managing company personnel, career paths and administrative issues. Responsible for management of contracts and contract issue resolution. Responsible for oversight of multiple departments within Cynergy such as Human Resources (HR), Security and Administration. Provided contract support to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Security Division. Provided program management assistance to multiple Information System Security Managers (ISSM) and FBI IT Program Managers (PM). As an Information System Security Representative (ISSR) daily functions consisted of but are not limited to facilitating interaction between PMs, system/data owners, and the ISSMs. Provided guidance to system owners and PMs as it relates to the C&A process using both NIST SP 800 series as well as the D/CID regulations. Also provided guidance to PMs regarding IT System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as to system owners on meeting compliance for Federal Information System Management Act (FISMA) standards. Traveled to various FBI field offices and conducted assessments of the sites overall IT security. Areas assessed include Operational Security (OPSEC), Communication Security (COMSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC) and Physical Security. Identified and registered systems that have not been properly certified and accredited. Assist local Headquarters divisions and field offices in developing lifecycle documentation for information systems such as System Security Plans (SSP) and Concept of Operations (CONOPS). Provided program management support to Prime Contractor PM in the role of Technical Task Order Lead in addressing all contractor related issues on specific task order, conducting interviews for open positions, provide recommendations on contractor promotions and interacting with government task lead as a liaison for contract PM.
