Alex completed his BEng in Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies at the University of Liverpool in 2020. His final year project focused on the design, build, and test of unconventional unmanned air vehicles, specifically ‘flying wing’ UAVs.Graduating during the pandemic, Alex pivoted to further his education by completing an MSc Masters in Management in 2021, also at the University of Liverpool, with a specialisation in entrepreneurial action.From 2018 to 2021, he was part of the Liverpool University Air Squadron at RAF Woodvale, gaining a VR Commission as an ‘Acting Pilot Officer’ from RAF Cranwell in 2020.In 2021, Alex co-founded Enturi Solutions Ltd, envisioning a future of diversified clean energy systems to meet the global demand for sustainable, green energy. Enturi is pioneering off-grid wind-powered distributed energy systems to enhance accessible and versatile green energy supplies worldwide, leveraging their patented turbine technology.Since its inception, Enturi Solutions has achieved significant recognition and support, including winning the IUK Fast Start Innovation Grant (2022), IUK LCR Launchpad Grant (2023), and IUK SMART Grant (2024). The company was also a national finalist in the Tata Varsity Pitch Competition (2023) with JLR, and Santander X UK Award (2023). Additionally, Enturi was named Start-Up of the Year at the Halton Business Awards (2024) and featured on Insider North West's Most Exciting Companies list (2023). The company has also benefited from three University of Liverpool Enterprise Funds (2021, 2022, 2023) and participated in various accelerator programmes such as Carbon 13 Venture Launchpad (with Cambridge Cleantech) and Port City Innovation Hub (Rainmaking).In 2024, Alex was awarded an Enterprise Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering, additionally supported by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, and the ERA Foundation.
