I’m Alex Shultz AKA Mr. Shultz- former Los Gatos High science teacher, parent of three LGHS graduates, and an active member of the Los Gatos Saratoga community for 36 years. I have a deep passion for the education of all of our students. For 28 years, I enjoyed helping to build a world class science program with my colleagues, and I’ve witnessed first-hand the value and impact of our district’s education. My professional and parental experiences provide me with a unique understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by those that make our schools great. Through this distinctive lens we can ensure the success of all students. LGSUHSD has two incredible comprehensive schools that meet the needs of a diverse student body. As a teacher, I felt that my work was meaningful and purposeful, rewarding and challenging. I always felt proud of the work we did at LGHS and knew we were making a difference in the lives of students and impacting their future. Our work isn’t just about delivering curriculum; we inspire leaders, cultivate thinkers, provide outlets for exploration and so much more.As a candidate, I’m eager to address current needs in an ever-changing world and if elected, I will perform my Board Member duties with an open mind, objectivity, and a desire to listen and learn.I have been endorsed by the California Democrats, District Teachers Association, Doug Ramezane (former LGHS Principal and School Board Member), Jan Blasberg (former Fisher Middle School teacher).
