As product design engineer, my team and I took the architectural design from Richard Martinet of Affine Design and developed the engineering work to build this iconic landmark of Monte Carlo, Monaco. We used advanced 3D parametric tools such as Catia to modeling over 20.000 external panels and all its hundreds of thousands inner components to make possible the construction of these five luxury buildings that would house 21 luxury stores such as Chanel, Balenciaga or Yves Saint Laurent. The challenge was to build something ephemeral and light enough to be placed on the roof of the actual parking of the Monaco Casino, and to be easily removed after 3 years of use. We used Honeycomb panels, aluminum skeleton and steel frame all divided in sections that would be place together in just a mater of weeks.
