Working on the IT Infrastructure in the VolkerWessels Infrastructure NL division (KWS Infra, Van Hattum en Blankevoort, VolkerRail, Vialis, VolkerInfra, a.o.).After acting as both Service Owner and Infrastructure architect for some time the work on architecture became increasingly demanding and from july 2020 onwards I am now fully focused towards the architecture for the division Infrastructure Netherlands in the role of lead architect. Together with a growing team we are working on the standardisation, rationalisation and digitalisation of our environment. As of september 2018 I had the role of Service Owner IT infrastructure, in addition to my responsibilities as IT infrastructure architect. In this position I design, implement and maintain the information systems to support the enterprise infrastructure of our organization. I ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and support the development of new technologies and system requirements.Before 2017 my main tasks were systems administration, but I was also involved in several aspects of the ICT services for our (internal) customers. This was both on technical as well as process matters.

As Account Technical Leader in Service Delivery I fulfill a broad role in the environments of our customers. From the delivery Organization, I am responsible for obtaining and maintaining a "helicopter view" on the IT infrastructure and are therefore able to oversee the entire chain. Especially when it concerns changes and / or disturbances. In accordance with this role I also participate in the Change Advisory Board to provide input on possible impact of proposed changes. When needed I also participate for both projects as BAU, with implementation of changes or assistance with incidents. In order to keep my technical skills on the required level I also participate in projects for our customers.

Large dutch company has outsourced their IT to IBM Netherlands and for this customer I was responsible for setting up the day to day administration. After the initial insourcing I continued to work for this customer as the Technical Teamleader for this administration team.This team did the day to day administration of the complete server environment (approx 400 servers) of this customer.Also small projects were handled by this team.

Worked as an Novell and Microsoft instructor with various IT training institutes around the Netherlands.
